With a tournament win under my belt, I bring passion and expertise to every pickleball lesson. I come from a table tennis background since I was 10 years old. I not only work with adults but kids as well. If you have a pickleball addiction like me, I will help you improve any areas that you wish while having fun at the same time.

This exercise, along with the drills, helps me better understand the concepts that we learned today. If there is one improvement I have to state, it’s that the drop shot adjustments could be introduced better. Give them awareness that the balls can come at different height/different speeds first and then show them the techniques to handle such cases.

My journey with tennis began in childhood, playing with my grandmother, which sparked my passion and led me to join high school and college teams. Since then, I've maintained a regular schedule of playing several times a week. I've also enjoyed teaching numerous beginners, adept at starting players from scratch and guiding them through their tennis journey.

Fueled from a life long passion for racquet sports including playing for UC Irvine tennis 1986-1990, I became a dedicated pickleball enthusiast in January 2021. I started at over 190 lbs and currently am at 160 lbs and in the best shape I have been for the last 20+ years, so I know the benefits of pickleball. Not to mention the wide array of good friends I have made over the years. I currently compete at the Senior Pro level and my DUPR rating is over 5.0 in both singles and doubles. I work with all levels of pickleball players and have coached students now competing at the professional level. I am an IPTPA certified instructor and my teaching philosophy is not just about how to swing the paddle, but teaching the art of pickleball - strategy, spins, footwork, and how to get the most out of your game.

I’m on the verge of tears of happiness thinking about how much progress I made in just one session. Bill is patient and has a gift for explaining body mechanics in memorable ways that immediately click. We worked on my backhand returns, drives, and dinks. I realized I had been doing many of the fundamentals incorrectly, and Bill made each correction easy to understand and apply. By the end of the lesson, I was finally starting to develop the feel for a proper backhand drive after struggling with it for four years. I only wish I had taken a lesson with Bill three or four years ago. It would have saved me years of frustration and bad habits.
