When I can positively influence their skills, I feel fulfilled in my role as a coach. Additionally, I strive to foster a friendly and supportive relationship with my players, as I believe that being seen as a friend first, then a coach, is crucial for maximizing the learning potential and making lessons engaging and enjoyable for the students. In group lessons, I incorporate diverse group exercises to enhance the overall learning experience.

I never got the cute girl but I did quickly became obsessed with surfing. Surfing is my life and I’m a surfer. I love to share the stoke of surfing! It’s the most exhilarating and rewarding sport. I've be committed to my teaching for almost 25 years, helping people of all levels. I’ve taught over 30,000 group & private lessons helping people achieve their goals. I’ve been a member of the PGA since 2004. I was the head teaching pro at El Dorado Park in Long Beach for 13 years before moving over to Recreation Park 18. I created the first ever teaching & coaching completion within the PGA of America called America’s Golf Coach. I also created and run a non profit in Long Beach called Tee Off Together. I had the best professional teachers from childhood. Maradona, Pele, and Phillips. A couple more, I’ll tell you in person. Pepperdine University graduate. I coached a lot of younger professional players when I was young, anything to get their attention and they listened. Euro 2024 and a lot of countries players. If you want me to coach your team to win a league it’s not difficult for me. I don’t need to play to coach. I prefer to play and coach.

I have a 5.0 UTR ranking and a total of 25 years dedicated to playing and coaching tennis across all ages and skill levels. As a former tournament player, my experience is enriched by my background as an elite gymnast and former Cirque du Soleil artist. We worked on a warm-up, forehand and backhand fundamentals, and hits from both the baseline and service line. He also brought in insight from his gymnastics and movement background, which was helpful because tennis a more fluid, almost dance-like feel. "I’ve taken a few lessons with Jacob now and my swing has only improved. What I liked most is he helped me understand how to generate more power in my golf swing, which is something I’ve been wanting to improve on as an 51 year old golfer, and also how to get it out without putting strain on my body. He does a great job dumbing down concepts for someone like me to understand i.e. making analogies to other sports and for me that helps a lot since I did not grow up playing golf.
