Quick Bio: I've been involved in sports throughout my life. The skills and psych(e) I developed across a few sports impact my approach to coaching today. I began playing pickleball in 2020 and recognized its unique blend of movement, strategy, and community. These combined elements led me to pursue formal training and earn my certification through the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). I coach all ages, beginners to intermediate level players. My coaching philosophy is grounded in creating an environment where FUN meets FUNdamentals, ensuring that each player develops strong technical skills while cultivating a lasting love for the game. Hello, my name is Alicia, and I’m a local Delray Beach tennis coach with over 18 years of playing experience and more than 8 years of teaching under my belt. I’m a former #3 ITF World Junior Ranked Player, a US Open Junior Championships Singles Finalist, and I held a WTA Professional Ranking of #404, with numerous Pro Circuit Singles Titles to my name. As the #1 ranked player in the US National Rankings in every age division and a multiple Gold Ball National Singles Title holder, I’ve been immersed in tennis since I was 3. Although an injury ended my playing career, I’m dedicated to inspiring, training, and developing the next generation of players.

"I’d say Sierra’s lesson was quite effective, particularly in how she explained some of the positioning and footwork, which has already helped me move more smoothly on the court. Though I still need to refine my serve, I appreciate her calm and patient approach, which makes tackling tricky parts less daunting. Still, I’m optimistic about making steady progress with another lesson soon. Would be nice to keep building on this foundation.

I have been in the tennis industry for more than 20 years, having started playing tennis when I was 9 years old. By the age of fifteen, I was ranked number 3 in my hometown in Colombia. I graduated from Southeastern State Oklahoma University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, where I played Division II tennis, holding the #2 spot in singles and the #1 spot in doubles. Tennis has been a significant part of my life, contributing greatly to my personal and professional development.
