Hello, I’m Jackie, a native Mandarin teacher in Bethesda, MD. Since 2019 I’ve taught K-12 Chinese, focusing on writing and speaking for students. I hold Chinese teaching and Maryland early childhood certifications. I create customized digital lessons to improve students’ literacy and cultural awareness.

I’ve spent over a decade playing and teaching tennis competitively, and now I’m diving into the world of pickleball. I’m passionate about how inclusive the sport is and love helping players of all levels build their confidence and discover new growth areas on the court. I am an attorney with experience in courtroom litigation, adjudication of legal proceedings, leading professional trainings, presenting at a law firm webinar to clients, and managing large groups of junior attorneys. I was an adjunct professor of legal studies at The Johns Hopkins University School of Professional and Business Studies and taught courses related to the practice of law. I provided academic tutoring and mentoring to high school students. I love languages, teaching, and reading!

I’ve been a Floridian my entire life until I made the move up to Virginia last Spring with my wife and 3 dogs. I’ve been a certified athletic trainer, high school teacher and tennis coach for the past 20 years. I became a USPTA teaching professional about 10 years ago and have taught kids as young as 5 to adults as old as 65. I’ve coached the Gainesville High School girls tennis team the past 2 years. I believe tennis is truly a sport of a lifetime that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

My name is Alok and I am a local Ellicott City tennis coach with over 40 years of playing experience and over 10 years of teaching experience! I have a deep knowledge of tennis and can also help advanced players with flawless stroke techniques, deep analysis, advanced footwork and tennis exercises. I’m currently playing at 4.5 level in USTA tournaments. Over the last 10 years, I have coached more than 100 students of all ages, completing more than 10,000 hrs of coaching
