Hi! I’m Bethania, a current medical student and lifelong competitive swimmer with international experience. I began as a lifeguard in high school and rediscovered my passion for teaching while instructing at Boston University. My teaching philosophy is that you must have fun. If studying guitar feels like a chore, this won't work. I like to meet students where they are, both overall (what's the music you love!) and how they feel week to week. I've played guitar since I was 14, and I love the instrument not only because it rocks, but also because of its rich history and its standing as an art object. I write guitar-focused journalism for magazines like Premier Guitar & Fretboard Journal.

With 20+ years in mental performance and tennis coaching, I help players build confidence, focus, routines, emotional control, and resilience under pressure. My background includes work with JTCC, IMG Academy, NCAA athletes, Division I programs, military performance settings, and high-performance tennis environments.

I am a classically trained vocal coach, I coach students of all ages in the area of Pop, Gospel, Classical, R&B, Jazz, Opera, Rock and Musical Theater. I train students on breath control, pitch, enhancing the quality of their tone, stage presence, extending vocal range, building confidence and diction. I do not believe vocal lessons should be a chore. I strive to make my lessons fun and energizing while pulling out each student’s natural gifts and creativity. I personalize each lesson and encourage students to explore all their musical interest. When you finish each lesson with me, you will feel refreshed and uplifted.
