I'm a PTR certified tennis coach playing at the 4.0 level, with over 2 years of private coaching experience working with players at every stage — from complete beginners picking up a racquet for the first time, to advanced competitors refining their edge. I design individualized & group training sessions tailored to each player's goals. I will also help you develop your mental game alongside your physical game, which will translate to success on and off the court.

Tennis has been a lifelong passion for me, but about three years ago, the magnetic allure of pickleball caught my attention. Intrigued and motivated to spread my love for this sport, I pursued PPR certification and embarked on a teaching journey that has now spanned over a year. My teaching endeavors have seen me conducting numerous classes, reaching out to hundreds of players at various levels of expertise, all within the welcoming environment of the YMCA. Pickleball is more than a game; it's a community, a vibrant connection of enthusiasts coming together to enjoy the thrill of the sport. As a dedicated instructor, my mission is to share this excitement and the skills that make the game enjoyable for players of all backgrounds and levels. My goal is to contribute to the growth of pickleball and help individuals discover the joy of this engaging and dynamic sport.

I'm Seiya, a varsity tennis player at NYU with over a decade of competitive experience. Growing up in Hawaii, I won 4 state championships and won National High School All American Championships before joining the NYU Men's Tennis Team where I currently compete. I am also currently a summer coach for the junior programs at ROOSEVELT ISLAND RACQUET CLUB, where I work with young players of all levels. I am also able to coach any age and will tailor every lesson to your goals.
