Hello! My name is Hoda and I hold a master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have over 12 years of experience teaching English to learners of different ages and proficiency levels. I specialize in Reading, Writing, Grammar, and Conversational Skills as well as academic English. My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each students’ individual needs and goals. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, and improve their communication skills.

As a native Spanish speaker, I love teaching my language to others. I started teaching since 2004 and it has been the most fun job I ever had. My classes are highly interactive and focused on teaching others to be confident speaking Spanish. Classes are structured in a way of learning basics to quickly learning to have conversations with others. Let me show you how easy and fun is to learn Spanish.

I've been a professional touring bassist and educator for 20 years. I'm a doubler both electric and upright. I have a B.M. in Music education from VCU in Richmond, VA. (Don't make a joke about your degree being a "BM") If you're still here, I'm also a guitarist and have taught strings and brass. I've taught privately and classroom settings both in-person and remotely. I bring my experiences as a performing artist and educator to guide students of all ages and levels. My lessons are individualized and intended to guide you on your musical journey. Lessons can vary depending on your needs, wants and goals. With over 15 years of playing experience and more than 5 years of coaching, I am passionate about helping players of all ages and skill levels reach their full potential. Throughout my coaching career, I’ve worked with everyone from complete beginners picking up a racquet for the first time to highly competitive players, including 10+ UTR athletes and NCAA Division I competitors.

I have over nine years of experience as a competitive swimmer with City of Plano Swimming, including four years of varsity swim with Plano Senior Swim & Dive. I’ve also volunteered as a swim instructor with the World’s Largest Swim Lesson, where I developed a passion for water safety and teaching children. I am Red Cross lifeguard certified (2023) and attentive with swimmers of all ages. I currently hold a role at a women’s clinic which has honed my abilities to work in a fast paced environment.
