Moving cash students onto packages
Noelle K. put a ten-pack on her page, and half of her new students bought it instead of a single lesson. Same coaching, same court in Laguna Beach, completely different income. The regulars who had been paying her every Saturday for months were the next ones to move. They had never been offered anything else.

Why one decision beats ten
When every lesson is a separate purchase, every lesson is a moment the student can drift. A package moves that decision to the front and makes it once. You get the season paid up front, and the student holding six prepaid lessons has no reason to shop around. A membership does the same thing on a monthly rhythm and tells you roughly what next month looks like before it starts.
Put the pack on the page first
In Smart pricing, the pack discounts you set become packs on your site automatically. In Custom packages, Add package lets you name it, choose the number of lessons and the length, and set a price per lesson, cents included. A ten-pack at a modest discount is the standard shape, and an expiry date is optional if you want packs to keep moving.
Once the pack exists, some share of new students will pick it without any conversation, which is what happened on Noelle’s page.
Find the regulars who are ready
Upsells reads booking frequency, lesson count, and spend and gives you a shortlist. It does not message anyone; you decide who gets an offer. The weekly regular gets a membership invite, the frequent booker gets a package, and the student who keeps asking for homework gets your course.
For a membership, the Subscriptions view in Client Growth has a Draft invite button. Choose the cadence and an optional first-month discount, read the message, and send it. The student gets a checkout link, and once they accept, billing and lesson balances take care of themselves. Noelle moved six regulars to monthly plans in two weeks this way.
The message itself
The awkward part is the asking, and a prepared message removes it. Name what they have been working on, name the pack, attach the link, and leave it there. "You have been in every Saturday since June. If you want to lock those in, here is the ten-pack. A bit less per session, and no more texting me to book." If the answer is no, nothing changes and they keep booking the way they always have.
Cash students belong in the same system
A student who insists on cash can still hold a pack. Add sessions on their profile records lessons paid outside CoachGrow, in cash, Venmo, Zelle, or otherwise, against the pack with the amount collected, so their prepaid balance and history stay right. When you add an existing student, the No package option records lessons without billing anything, so nobody has to invent a fake one-dollar pack to get a longtime client onto the books.
From there the system watches balances for you. A student down to their last two lessons gets a renewal nudge from Follow-ups before they run out, and a prepaid student with nothing scheduled gets a booking nudge with no discount attached, because they already paid.

Common questions
Can I move an existing student onto a package?+−
Yes. Add them and send a checkout link, or convert them from the Upsells view, which finds the students most likely to say yes.
What happens when a package expires?+−
You decide whether it expires at all. If it does, you get a nudge to reach out before it lapses.
Can memberships be paused?+−
Yes. Memberships pause and resume without cancelling, which is how most coaches handle winter or an injury.
